Marla Darwin
Founder / Creative Director
Marla finished business at Ateneo de Manila University with a Loyola Schools Award for the Arts in Graphic Design, a result of logic and creativity playing off each other. She incorporated Natural Selection Design in 2013 after years working in branding and advertising in various roles and capacities.
Marla is also a writer, parent, and advocate. She is invested in the moral arc of the universe bending towards justice. When she isn’t on her soapbox, she can be found snacking.

Joel Darwin
Founder / Managing Director
Having called the Philippines, the United States, and Nigeria home at some point, Joel is a true Third Culture Kid. After earning his BA in Political Science and Creative Writing from Ateneo de Manila University, Joel spent his time working in training and teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). These experiences helped him develop a leadership style informed by empathy and collaboration.
